Dentistry From the Heart

Local dentist spreads free smiles

Conroe, Texas- Dr. Timothy Gardner’s 15th Annual “Dentistry From the Heart” event held at Conroe Comprehensive Dental Center, Saturday, April 13, 2024 donated more than $32,000 worth of free dental care to 59 underprivileged/uninsured residents of Montgomery County.

Procedures done free of charge included cleanings, fillings, and extractions. Their mission was to treat infections and get patients out of pain.

Volunteers included Dr. Timothy Gardner, D.D.S., Dr. Todd Leiker D.D.S., and Trisha Ortiz, RDH, Jessica Chapa, RDH, Tenille Fritsche, RDH, along with team members.

When the staff arrived at 6:30 am , there was already a line around the building.
Due to the amazing size of the crowd that had checked in by 10am, Dr. Gardner decided to address the crowd.  He stated that they were committed to helping them, and they were going to do just that.  Although they would not be able to help all that attended on that Saturday, the Team handed out specially marked business cards to be treated later.  Dr. Gardner’s Team will reach out to schedule with those participants in the coming weeks, during normal business hours.

Dentistry from the heart (DFTH) is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission: making people smile. DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans.
