Welder/Fabricator

Job description
About Us
At Divine Lighting Fabrication & Powder Coating, we don’t just weld — we craft. Specializing in custom lighting solutions and precision metalwork, our projects are as diverse as they are demanding. We operate at the intersection of form and function, producing architectural-grade components that must look just as perfect as they perform. We serve high-end residential and commercial sectors, and our reputation is built on excellence — not just in strength, but in aesthetic detail.
We are looking for a master-level Aluminum TIG Welder — someone who sees each weld as a signature. If you take pride in creating welds that speak for themselves, this is the shop for you.

What the Role Demands

  • Execute flawless TIG welds on aluminum — clean, consistent, repeatable. Bead appearance matters just as much as strength.
  • Fit and assemble custom, complex geometries where every edge and angle must look intentional.
  • Bring deep metallurgical understanding to the table — know how materials behave, how to control heat, and how to adapt to different thicknesses and finishes.
  • Interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and part prints with confidence and independence.
  • Solve welding challenges creatively and without supervision — own your work, and do it right the first time.
  • Occasionally weld steel and stainless (<10% of the time) with the same care and finish as aluminum.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace — your bay reflects your standards.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures with precision while continuously looking for ways to eliminate waste and improve flow.
  • Be an active part of a team where communication, feedback, and shared goals drive everything forward.
  • Embody lean manufacturing principles — help us cut waste, increase quality, and build smarter.

What We’re Looking For
  • Master-level TIG welding skills on aluminum. You’ve done this for years, and your work shows it.
  • Strong experience with GTAW processes; GMAW proficiency is also required.
  • Experience with aesthetic or architectural-grade parts — your welds should not need to be ground down to be acceptable.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve independently, stay calm under pressure, and maintain control over variable fit-ups and materials.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S principles, and a general obsession with keeping your area dialed in.
  • Must be able to pass a welding test that includes both structural and appearance criteria.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled shop environment with a diverse project mix.
  • Welding certification or trade school training preferred but not required — your test welds will speak louder than a diploma.
  • Bonus: Experience with CNC tools like press brakes, lasers, and punches.
  • Bonus: Forklift experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required.
  • Able to climb portable ladders, as necessary.
  • Able to wear safety glasses and other required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.

What We Offer
  • A chance to work on custom, high-end projects where attention to detail and craftsmanship matter.
  • A tight-knit, supportive team environment where your contributions are valued.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with skill and responsibility.
  • A clean, organized shop committed to lean principles and operational excellence.
  • Clear pathways for growth, development, and ownership within your role.

Benefits:
  • Competitive pay based on experience.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday pay.
  • Overtime
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth.

Welding Test Required
Applicants must pass a hands-on aluminum TIG welding test. You’ll be asked to demonstrate both structural competence and artistry in a real-world scenario. This is your audition — and we take it seriously.

If TIG welding is your craft — not just your job — and you thrive in an environment where excellence is the expectation, we invite you to apply. Please include a resume and, if available, images or a portfolio of past welding work.
