CAD Manager
We seek a motivated CAD Manager to join the Vogt team. In addition to CAD Design production, this position will provide leadership & vision to the firm in the area of CAD. Candidates must work well alongside experienced engineers & designers as part of an interdisciplinary design team.
Responsibilities:
- Create accurate & detailed CAD drawings based on specifications provided by project engineers & other project stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements, objectives, & timelines
- Incorporate revisions & feedback from project managers, engineers, & clients
- Perform quality checks on CAD drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, & adherence to project requirements
- Preparation of construction documents including layouts, plans, profiles, sections, & details
- Maintain organized file management systems for CAD drawings & related documents
- Produce deliverables within project timeline & communicate changes in scope or timing to project manager
- Provide production CAD support
- Develop, implement, & enforce CAD Standards
- Interact on project standards coordination with clients
- Provide training & supervision of in-house CAD users
- Maintain CAD document archive & retrieval for projects
- Strategic planning & guidance on implementation of new technology
Experience:
- Civil 3D: 2 years (Required)
- Site and/or Land Development: 2 years (Preferred)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience specific to site & land development preferred
- Mastery of Auto CADD - specifically in Civil3D
- Attention to detail & sound judgement
- Self-motivation & ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent organization
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
Salary will be commensurate with experience & capability. This is a full-time position with an established firm offering long-term stability & the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects.
