Membership Luncheon
Speaker: Rhonda A. Ellis, Commercial Department Supervisor
Rhonda A. Ellis began her career in the appraisal industry in 1997 as Branch Manager for Ashford Asset Valuations (established 1986 in Harris County). In 2002 she became General Manager for the company and in 2005 she became Owner of the company and renamed it Ashford Appraisals LLC. During her tenure with Ashford, she completed or reviewed over 7,000 residential appraisals in the greater Houston market area as well as assisting with numerous commercial valuation and vacant land assignments.
From October 2013 to January 2016, Mrs. Ellis was employed by Harris County Appraisal District. She was hired as a Commercial Field Appraiser and advanced to an Analyst position within the first year. In 2015 she was promoted to Lead Valuation Analyst for office and medical properties. Mrs. Ellis is currently Supervisor of the Commercial Department at Montgomery Central Appraisal. She values the office and medical properties as well as supervising the valuation of all other commercial improved properties and commercial vacant land.
Mrs. Ellis is a graduate of Lafayette High School (Louisiana), Weatherford College (Weatherford, Texas) and Tarleton State University (Stephenville, Texas). She was awarded Bachelor of Science in 1996, Suma Cum Laude, and was named Outstanding Graduate of her class. She is a Registered Professional Appraiser with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser with the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board. She is certified with the Federal Housing Administration and is a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers.
Mrs. Ellis lives in Conroe with her husband Dan. They have three adult children.
