2020 Peacebuilding Community Awards
October is Conflict Resolution Month! To celebrate, the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (DRC-MC) and the Association for Conflict Resolution Houston Peer Mediation Team are establishing the 2020 Peacebuilding Community Awards in Harris and Montgomery County. A copy of the Peacebuilding Community Awards Criteria flyer is posted on the DRC-MC website. See www.resolution-center.org. The nomination form is very short and simple to fill out online. Nominees should excel at establishing/promoting local peace initiatives; or promoting peaceful conflict resolution practices; or peace training for any age group. There are four nomination categories: (1) K-12 Grade Nominee; (2) New Generation Nominee (18-25 years old); (3) Community Member or Volunteer Nominee; or (4) Organization Nominee. Winners will be publicly announced and honored. Please note that individuals and organizations may self-nominate. Individuals and organizations may also be nominated for more than one category of awards.
