The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce is closely monitoring the reports of COVID-19 in the area and are taking precautions for all our events and meetings. As of Friday, March 13, 2020, the Chamber is remaining open.

“Conroe is open for business,” said Brian Bondy, president of the Chamber. “The Chamber is here to support the Conroe business community and that includes identifying ways to help reduce the risk to the public. We want and need Conroe businesses to stay open. However, during this time we feel the need to postpone some of our programs, and focus on providing resources and information to the Conroe business community.”

The following events will be postponed and rescheduled at a later date unless otherwise noted.

• Marcel Boulevard Groundbreaking for a Cause – March 17, 2020
• Coffee with the Congressman – March 20, 2020
• CHI St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital Ribbon Cutting – March 20, 2020
• Fun After Five at the Fair – March 26, 2020
• Wall of Honor – March 31, 2020
• The Pulse Series – State of Education – April 2, 2020

Any registration for paid events will be honored at the rescheduled date. Refunds will be honored as well.

Also, in an effort to collect as much information as we can to educate and prepare not just our members but our surrounding community, the Chamber has created a source on our website for the latest information. Also, information is being provided on all the Chamber’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. The website is www.conroe.org/coronavirus.

The Chamber encourages the public to diligently practice preventative actions. Washing hands often as well as staying home when sick are the best methods to combat this and other viruses.
