About Us
Texas A&M AgriLife - Family and Community Health (FCH) Program in Montgomery County helps Texans better their lives through science-based educational programs designed to improve the overall health and wellness of individuals, families, and communities. Programs are developed by subject matter experts and delivered locally by educators and volunteers. Family & Community Health focuses on topics such as child and adult health, nutrition, childcare, financial management, passenger and community safety, and building strong families. The goal of Family and Community Health in Montgomery County is to encourage lifelong health and well-being for every person, every family, and every community.
The goal of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Montgomery County is to provide quality relevant outreach and continuing educational programs and services to it residents. Educational programs are developed and targeted by a diverse volunteer base that gives leadership through our Leadership Advisory Board and program area committees. The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is a unique education agency with a statewide network of professional educators, trained volunteers, and county offices.
For over 100 years, the agency has improved lives across Texas by delivering innovative science-based solutions and education at the intersection of health, agriculture and environment in communities across the state. Today, we continue the legacy of service, bringing together traditional outreach and modernized tools to reach Texans right where they are.

- Walk Across Texas - FREE, 8 week program designed to help Texans establish the habit of regular physical activity.
- The Dinner Tonight program was developed to provide busy families with quick, healthy, cost effective recipes.
- Online courses for child care professionals seeking to fulfill state-mandated training requirements.
- Fathers/Families Reading Every Day (FRED) is a family literacy program for children?s early literacy development.
- Master of Memory program is to improve participants? memory function.
