About Us

Dragon’s Breath Youth Sports is a veteran-founded nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through athletic training, mentorship, and community engagement. Serving Montgomery County and surrounding areas, we provide structured sports programs—including basketball, soccer, and football—for ages 6 to 30, with opportunities ranging from local leagues to international All-Star travel.

We focus on developing character, leadership, and life skills through sports, while supporting underserved youth, foster care communities, and aspiring athletes looking to compete at the next level. Now home to the Montgomery County Dragons, an official team in the National Basketball League (NBL), we are proud to bring professional-level opportunities and hope to our local athletes.

Wallace Jones

Wallace Jones is the founder and president of Dragon’s Breath Youth Sports, a veteran, father, and passionate advocate for youth and community development. With a background in leadership and military service, Wallace brings discipline, heart, and vision to every program he builds. Inspired by his own family’s experience with the foster care system, he created Dragon’s Breath to give underserved youth a safe, structured environment where they can grow through sports, mentorship, and purpose. Wallace also leads the Montgomery County Dragons, a professional basketball team under the National Basketball League (NBL), giving local athletes a chance to compete, get scouted, and pursue pro opportunities both in the U.S. and overseas. His mission is simple: to help young people rise—and give them the wings to fly.
