Tastefest Committee Meeting

Tastefest is an annual event that showcases area restaurants, breweries, wineries and businesses in the food industry. It takes place in May at the Lone Star Convention Center. The Chamber is financed through not only membership, but through special events like Tastefest.
 
Tastefest Committee Responsibilities
The committee meets monthly. Team members are responsible for assisting the director of special events in organizing and operating the event as well as soliciting food booths, selling tickets and volunteering at the event.
 
Sub-committees include:
 

• Restaurant Committee - Helps to recruit restaurants for the event and helps create new ideas for getting restaurants involved and recruit Chamber members if not current members, day of event set-up/break-down/registration
• Ticket Committee - Helps sell tickets and ticket packages, create new marketing ideas for getting the community involved, recruit other volunteers to help sell tickets, day of event set-up/break-down/registration
• Marketing Committee - Helps with a marketing and advertising plan for Tastefest, day of event set-up/break-down/registration
• Volunteer Committee – Helps recruit members and non-members to volunteer at the event. Volunteer duties include but are not limited to ticket takers, water, beer, wine and soda booths, check-in, clean up and wrist bands.
