2nd Annual Southern Star BBQ Cookoff
Southern Star Brewing Company is announcing the 2nd Annual Southern Star BBQ Cook-Off on Saturday, April 28th to benefit Operation Pets Alive with a Pre-Cook-Off tailgate party on Friday, April 27th to kick off the festivities! The BBQ Cook-Off festivities will be the event of the year! Free admission for Friday night's Pre-Cook-Off tailgate party featuring a performances by TreynWrek and The Captain Legendary Band on the Biergarten stage from 6-9PM. The fun will be heating up on Saturday with $12 admission for adults and free for kids. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Operation Pets Alive. Operation Pets Alive is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that focuses on raising community awareness, reducing the number of dogs and cats that enter their shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave their shelters alive. Barbeque Cook-Off competition offers $3600 in cash prizes and custom trophies, to include rustic wood coolers and custom 2 liter growlers! There is endless entertainment throughout day including: -Texas bands performing live on the Biergarten stage throughout the day, featuring the Brandon McDermott Band from 1-3PM, Black Dog Friday 3:30-5:30PM, and the Josh Field Band from 6-8PM. - Craft Beer to wash down the Barbeque goodness -Raffles -Silent Auctions -Agility and Police Dog Demonstrations -Pet Adoptions -Pet Kissing booth -Market Vendors -Food Trucks -Fun & Games Proudly Sponsored by: Gullo Ford For information on how to enter your cookoff team, become a vendor or inquire about sponsorship, please email: danielle@southernstarbrewing.com
