Chamber events like Lobsterfest, Tastefest, and more have earned an outstanding reputation for providing the highest quality service and top-notch experience to other companies and the community. Tastefest
ATHENAAward

Chairman’s Ball

Annual gala honoring the outgoing Chairman of the Board, as well as the small and large business of the year and more. The evening includes dinner, dancing, and a casino. Committee members help with decorations, soliciting auction items, selling tickets, volunteers, and more.

Enjoy food and beverages from more than 40 vendors all under one roof! Tastefest takes place in early June each year at the Lone Star Convention Center. Come be part of one of the largest events the Chamber puts on. Committee members help with soliciting food vendors, selling tickets, volunteers and more.

ATHENA Leadership Award Luncheon

The ATHENA Leadership Award is presented to a woman who is honored for professional excellence, community service, and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills. This summer event includes a luncheon with guest speakers. Committee members help with soliciting sponsors and selling tickets and well as help with the nominations of the award winner.

Lobsterfest

Golf, Grub, and Good Times! In early October, we start the event on a Thursday evening and savor fresh Maine Lobster flown in that day, perfectly cooked steak and fixings at the Lone Star Convention Center. Mingle with friends, co-workers, family, and the community while checking out the silent and live auctions. The next day, tee off for a fun day of golf at one of our outstanding member golf clubs.

Hail & Farewell Elected Officials Reception

This event brings business, government, and civic leaders to connect and celebrate the coming of the new year. Mix and mingle with elected officials and fellow leaders as we celebrate the progress made in our community. This is a come-and-go event with light appetizers and drinks. A short program is included at the event.

This is not your typical relationship-building event! Build your web of business contacts, share information about your services and products, increase your bottom line and do it in an entertaining environment. Be sure to make sure to bring a stack of business cards and information about products or services ready to share. These events are always entertaining and highly productive. The Morning Mingle takes place every second Thursday each month. Registration is required.

Fun After Five gives Conroe Lake Conroe Chamber members the opportunity to connect with one another, exchange ideas and learn about each other’s organizations, while visiting new places of business! Enjoy free food and drinks while building your relationships. Fun After Five takes place every third Thursday of the month from 5:05 – 6:30 pm. Each month the event is hosted by one of our Chamber members. If you are interested in hosting one of these events, contact our Director of Membership, Gigi Peacock.

The Chambers Young Professionals Network offers quarterly networking opportunities at local establishments, giving those under 40 a venue for socializing and building professional relationships.

Job Fair

The annual Job Fair features jobs in a variety of fields as well as educational opportunities and community resources. The event is free to job seekers. Booths are available to companies and organizations looking for employees. The Chamber partners with the Conroe Economic Development Council, Lone Star College – Conroe Center, Lone Star Convention Center and Workforce Solutions.

Go Texan Parade

The Chamber is a co-sponsor of this annual event that provides scholarships for area youths. Held the Saturday before the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade in early February. All proceeds of the parade go toward the scholarships awarded to the students participating each year.

Montgomery County Fair Buyer’s Group

The Chamber organizes a Buyer’s Group each year for the Montgomery County Fair auction this year. Participation in the group is limited to members of the Chamber. Many members may not be able to donated to the auctions because of the high cost of the items auctioned. This is a way for all of our members to participate. Only money donated specifically to the Buyer’s Group will be spent at the Junior Non-Livestock and Livestock Auctions at the Montgomery County Fair.

Next Generation Leadership

Next Generation Leadership (NGL) is an annual leadership program that fosters an interest in community engagement and cultivates individual leadership skills in high school seniors. The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber and Education for Tomorrow Alliance’s partnership was formed due to the Chamber’s education committee and its dedication to developing programs through partnerships between our region’s educational communities. The monthly sessions have opportunities for businesses and their employees to volunteer their time to be a part of the sessions. Contact the Education for Tomorrow Alliance for additional information.

Stars & Stripes / July 4th Celebration

The Chamber partners with the City of Conroe to celebrate our nation’s Independence Day in downtown Conroe. Events include a street fair, family-friendly games and activities, food trucks, performance by the Conroe Symphony Orchestra, and a dynamic fireworks display. Activities surround Heritage Plaza.
